MANIFESTO IDEA MUSEUM

This is the Idea Museum manifesto in which we bring the form of our revolutionary museum’s
philosophy to the public.
Our museum has no walls. Our museum has no address. Our museum is everywhere and even when
You read this manifesto you are in our museum. Our museum is in your mind, it’s imaginary. The Idea
Museum shows ideas, ideas are what we exhibit and ideas are everywhere around you and even You
and your Ideas are a piece of exhibition in our museum.
Why our Idea Museum is so revolutionary? An ordinary museum shows works, works of genius
people, works of brilliant minds works which people take for granted nowadays, that are “normal”
now, because we all know them. But did anyone think that before these works were made there was
an IDEA? People take masterpieces for granted, like regular objects, like everyday use objects. We
want to remind the people that there is an idea for each work, that it’s not a common object.
The Dada depicted subjects that reflected the rapidly changing conditions of modern life. Today life is
rapid and good ideas have short life. We want to show them, we want to remind people of them. We
will use a language of communication that forces the public to think, think and create ideas, and to
understand that a master piece is a product of mind, and it’s a product of a human mind.
“DADA alone does not smell: it is nothing, nothing, nothing,
It is like your hopes: nothing.
Like your paradise: nothing.
Like your idols: nothing.
Like your politicians nothing: nothing.
Like your heroes: nothing.
Like your artists: nothing
Like your religions: nothing.”
Ideas don’t have shape you cannot touch an idea but without ideas there will be nothing. For some
the existence of works of art is obvious, for some act of producing a work of art is easy. It is not. The
Idea Museum puts emphasis on the very best ideas of artists of all kind and time and depicts them.
Our museum appreciates the intellectual value of brilliant ideas and draws the public attention to it.
To do this we will use all the language of art given: painting, film, design, installation and create
intellectual games, because good artists play with the reality. The games will depict the famous
works of art and ideas of artists. The public getting involved with the games will be reminded of how
complex and difficult a process of transferring good ideas into life is, the public will have it’s own
ideas and somehow feel the thoughts of the best creators. We will transform the masterpieces into
games because playing games gives a beginning to good ideas. Playing games is an intellectual
process and this is the value our museum wants to present.
